The Matsa Estate at Kantza, a historic vineyard of 12.2 hectares, has been in cultivation since the late 19th century. Today, Roxane Matsa is carrying on the family tradition in association with Boutari S.A.

The famous climate of Attica, with its mild winters and hot summers, is ideal for vine growing and perfect for the experimental plantations initiated by Boutari in the 1980s. The Malagouzia variety in particular proved extremely successful. The vineyard was initially chiefly planted with Savatiano. In the years that followed, as it was gradually renewed, more and more Malagouzia was cultivated, while a number of other interesting varieties cultivated experimentally have also acclimatised well.

For her contribution to the preservation of viticulture in the region, Roxane Matsa was named Wine Personality of the Year for 2001 by the Association of Greek Wine Journalists.
This historic Attica vineyard produces two fine white wines: Domaine Roxane Matsa and Malagouzia.
