Moschofilero
In the region of mountainous Aigialeia, one of the finest Greek grape varieties, Moschofilero, is grown. The vineyards are well situated at an altitude of 600m. giving the grapes the opportunity for a perfect maturation full of the distinctive aroma of the variety. Thyoni is Semeli, who returning from Hades changed her name, in fear of Hera’s jealousy. Harvest usually takes place at the end of September.
Grapes are handpicked and transported in small baskets. Classic white vinification, with mild pressure in a Willmes pneumatic press. After a preliminary debourbage, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of 17°C.
Alcohol 11.5%vol.
Total acidity 5.7g/l.
Residual sugar less than 0,9g/l.
Bright white-yellow colour with gray-green highlights. Rich and distinct aromas, which are focus on rose and violet. Round mouth with balanced acidity, strong characteristic aromas and a lemony finish. Serve at 10-12°C as aperitif or with rich fish, Chinese dishes, and with exotic flavours.
