All About Greek Wine "monopolizes" the attention of the Canadian market
Following in the footsteps of their successful campaign to present the modern face of Greek wine to the American market, the members of All About Greek Wine, a group of the premier wineries of Greece, went on the road to Toronto to present their wines to a group from the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) as well as several members of the Canadian media and wine trade.
All About Greek Wine participated in the 6th annual Washington, DC International Wine and Food Festival on March 12-13, 2005. The festival, sponsored by The Washington Post, attracted over 2400 people from the wine and food trade, an increase of 53% over last year. Another 8000 wine-lovers came from as far away as the Carolinas, Virginia and Maryland to attend the jam-packed Washington Convention Center.
To kick off the holidays in grand style, All About Greek Wine will sponsor a very special wine and food experience at the famous 4-star Le Bernadin Restaurant in New York City on December 7. Chef Pano Karatassos of Kyma in Atlanta, will join his former mentor, the world renown Chef Eric Ripert, on an amazing culinary adventure that will match their exquisite creations with the extraordinary wines of Greece. The event will take place in the private dining room of Le Bernardin.
All About Greek Wine will showcase their world class selection of Greek wines at the prestigious Degustabus Cooking School in world famous Macy’s of New York on December 4. Host Steven Olson together with Sofia Perpera will feature a unique culinary event for consumers as they present the modern face of Greek wine together with rising star, Chef Pano Karatassos’ cutting-edge Mediterranean cuisine.
All About Greek Wine together with the Guild of Sommeliers is sponsoring a seminar and walk-around tasting for Master Sommeliers and MS Candidates in the San Francisco area. The members of All About Greek Wine are excited about working with the Guild of Sommeliers and plan to host similar events for their members in other major US markets including New York and Chicago. The San Francisco event will take place on Tuesday November, 9th at the famous Westin St. Francis Hotel and will be hosted by well-known wine educator Steven Olson. Following the event will be an exclusive wine dinner at the popular Kokkari Restaurant.
On November 3rd, All About Greek Wine held a seminar and walk-around tasting for the top restaurants and beverage managers in the Atlanta area. Also in attendance were some of Atlanta’s premier sommeliers and wine journalists. The event was the first to feature the expanded group of 23 members of All About Greek Wine.
